Agemo Festival: Odogbolu Sets To Host King of Traditional Music
A group, seven stars in Otito base Odogbolu, Ogun State yesterday felicitated with the Tami Obanire of Ijebu land, Tami Oluleke Oludipe and Odogbolu sons and daughters for the Agemo festival celebration in Akile Ijebu.
The group, with all sense of recognition expressed heartfelt gratitude to God Almighty whom they said had made it possible for them to witness this year’s festival.
The festival is so much cherished that sons of the soil in diaspora don’t miss it.
They however advised the Ijebu people to always celebrate the festival with caution.
Meanwhile, the group has organised for the king of traditional music, Prince Adegboke Ayilara for a live performance at Odogbolu during the festival day.
According to the tradition of the land which it has it that no woman is allow to near nor allow to see the Agemo (deity god) while moving.
According to the group while showing their congratulatory message to Ijebu people ahead of the festival maintained that Agemo festival is an annual festival celebration in Ijebuland.
They (seven stars) therefore thanked all the leadership of Otito base most especially every individual that have contributed financially towards the progress of the festival.
